Professor of Production and Operations Management

Dean of the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics

He works as professor of production and operations management at the Department of Management and Business Economics since 1983. For 10 years he also taught operations management at the International Management Center (IMC) in Budapest as adjunct professor. He was a visiting Scholar at the University of Michigan Business School in Ann Arbor for one academic year, and he also worked as a visiting professor at the University of Seville in Spain for three years.

He has a master degree in mechanical engineering and a PhD in industrial engineering. He is head of the Production Management Group of his department. He also works as editor in chief of Periodica Polytechnica Social and Management Sciences series, which is a scientific pier reviewed journal of the faculty of Management and Social Sciences.

His research area includes mathematical modeling of manufacturing and service systems and performance evaluation of production and service operation. He published several papers in International Journal of Production Economics, Omega, International Journal of Production Research, European Journal of Operational Research, Production and Operations Management and in Computers and Industrial Engineering.
